Best Of The Body Shop Beauty

Recently, I was having a clean out of my make up products and I noticed I have a great love for The Body Shop make up products. I do love the skincare they do too so maybe that can be for another post. I really value The Body Shop because they promote ethically made products and they are all quite natural compared to other brands I have used.

Here are my make up and beauty favourites.

I have two Colour Crush lipsticks in the shades 240 Damsel In Distress (Purple) and 105 Coral Cutie (Orange). They are very creamy and smooth in consistency so they have a lovely satin finish. I like them because they are not drying on the lips but they still stay put, as long as you are not eating or drinking! These are great colours if you want a bold and statement lip look.

This is a brow and liner kit, although I only use it for my brows. I love it because there are two brow powders and they match my hair colour perfectly. I have it in the shade 03 and it is suitable for cool toned dark brown and black hair. Also, it comes with a little brush kit, but I am not a big fan of them as it is quite rough and applies too much product.

This is the Extra Virgin Loose Minerals Powder in the shade 302 Golden Beige. It is a light coverage powder foundation and it is perfect for daily use. I use it on top of a BB cream usually and it just sets the product enough as well as providing a little coverage. It makes your skin look smooth and doesn't cling to any dry patches either.

Here we have the All-In-One Instablur Universal and All-In-One BB Cream in the shade 01. I love these two, not always together but on their own too. The Instablur is a primer that seamlessly glides on your skin to make it look flawless. The sales assistant sold it to be by calling it an Instagram filter for your face - I was like yes please.
The BB Cream is really nice, ignoring the fact that it has a funny smell. I still don't understand how it matches to your skin colour but it really works! I like it for everyday use and usually set it with the mineral powder.

Another primer - I just couldn't help myself because once I tried one and loved it, I had to try more - talk about having an addiction. This is the mattifying skin primer and it does exactly that. It is a slightly more thinner consistency than the Instablur but it still sits well on the skin. I get an oily t-zone so this just helps balance the oils throughout the day and saves me from powdering.
The radiant highlighter is a pretty pink shade that isn't too intense. You can use it before your base makeup for an all over glow or dab it on the high points of your face for more precision. It isn't filled with chunks of glitter so you are left with a natural glowy look.

And last but not least - the blusher brush. I use this for bronzer and contour rather than blush. I find that it is quite dense for blush brush and works better for sculpting the face and getting in the contours of your face. I probably use this daily and it has lasted a good couple of years. I have a few of their brushes and the quality is great, but this is by far my favourite.
