Spa Day At Stapleford Park

Last weekend myself, my mum and sister went for a spa day at Stapleford Park, Melton Mowbray. We were in the mood for a relaxing, peaceful and indulgent day and so we were really looking forward to being pampered.

Booking the treatments was easy and hassle-free. I called up and told them what I wanted, when I wanted to come in and the lady was more than happy to book us in. She took payment over the phone and I received a confirmation email soon after.

The day finally came to go to the spa and it was what we had been looking forward to for a while! As we were driving to Stapleford Park it became apparent that it was definitely going to be in an idyllic countryside. As we made our way into the grounds we were in awe of how stunning it was! The architecture of the entrance, buildings and sculptures around the park were breathtakingly beautiful. Definitely very picturesque.

Finding the spa wasn't hard and checking in was simple. We were given questionnaires to fill out regarding our current health, provided with our treatment times, followed by a complimentary drink. We had the option to either stay at the spa reception, go to the gym or make our way to the main building where there was a pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.

We decided to walk to the main building for the pool, although a golf buggy trip was offered, and took the scenic route around the grounds of Stapleford Park. We walked past cute cottages, intricate archways and even a wedding! Definitely want my wedding there after seeing how stunning this one was.

The pool was a decent size, not too big and not too small. However, they could do with two jacuzzi's instead of one as it was very popular on the day we went. Also, they only have three sun beds and four seats available on the pool side, which was definitely not enough. That was probably the only negative from the day but we only spent two hours there anyways.

Facilities for showers and changing was available as well as complimentary slippers and robes.

After spending some time in the jacuzzi and pool, we headed to the spa for our treatments.

At the time, they were offering a package called The Afternoon Retreat, which involved spending the afternoon at the spa, using their facilities and a 25 minute Head In The Clouds massage (head massage). We all decided we needed a head massage so we went ahead with this package as well as adding on our own treatments. My sister and I chose the Sundari Back, Neck and Shoulder massage whilst my mum had a full body treatment.

The head massage was so relaxing. I usually don't like when people touch my hair too much but it was definitely worth it! The back, neck and shoulder massage was equally as good. I could feel some of my knots being pulled out and it was such a satisfying feeling! I highly recommend both if you are stuck on what to pick.

After our treatments were done we sadly had to head home but really wished we had booked a room for the night instead! We decided that whenever we visit a hotel spa, we have to stay a night too!
