Nutella And White Chocolate Pinwheel Biscuits

It is no secret by now that I am obsessed with Nutella.. who isn't?! I had another baking day with my best friend who is also a fab baker (follow her on Instagram HERE, you will not regret it!). Anyways, we made the most yummy biscuits ever. I was so surprised at how easy they were to make because they look quite complex for an amateur baker, like myself.

This is another recipe from Tanya Bakes and I just can't seem to get enough. I hope you love them as much as I did!

150g softened unsalted butter
150g caster sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla essence
220g plain flour
1tsp baking powder
200g Nutella
100g melted white chocolate

Mix the butter and sugar together, followed by the egg, vanilla extract, flour and baking powder until a dough is formed. The dough may be quite sticky at this point so add flour until it is thick enough to roll without sticking everywhere. 

Once a thick dough is formed, half the mixture and add the Nutella to one portion and white chocolate to the other. 

Next, roll both doughs out to make a rectangle shape. Place them both on top of each other and use clingfilm to roll the dough into a swiss roll shape. 

Pop this in the fridge to chill for about an hour. 

After you've taken it out of the fridge, use a sharp knife to cut the roll of dough into disc shapes. ½ cm thick biscuits are ideal.

Pop these on a baking tray for about 10 minutes at 200°c.

Once they are cooled, enjoy with a nice cuppa!
