Last month I had the pleasure of going to my first blogger event hosted by Blogosphere Magazine. If you read the post, you'd know that So...? Fragrances were at the event and kindly gifted those who attended with some fragrances! I got to try a few bits from their new range and absolutely fell in love with a few of the fragrances, but one stood out to me in particular, which I will go into more a bit later on!
One of my all time favourite fragrances is Paco Rabanne's Black XS. I just love how the scent is quite woody yet floral and that's what makes it stand out to me. I consider it quite a deep fragrance, which I prefer for evening wear. I actually used to work at The Perfume Shop but I still can't describe and name the notes in fragrances to save my life! So, after a quick little search online, I came across this on their website...
Going back to what I was talking about earlier, So...? Fragrances gifted me a few PR samples. One of their scents jumped out to me immediately as it was very reminiscent of the Black XS perfume. The Dark Romance perfume* was the one that smelt gorgeous! After giving it a few more sniffs, I decided it was my favourite out of the bunch and I actually really love it because it smells exactly like my favourite fragrance!
Again, I did a bit of searching around online and found that the notes in the Dark Romance fragrance are very similar to those that are in the Black XS. What a coincidence! I think I've found one of my favourite types of scents, since I've been drawn to two different fragrances with similar notes.
If you are interested in the notes of the So...? Dark Romance perfume, they are here:
I am SO relieved I've found a cheaper dupe for my favourite fragrance! Paco Rabanne Black XS retails at £31 and So...? Dark Romance is just £6.99! Yes, you get a bit more product in the more expensive fragrance but it is also an EDT (eau de toilette) and that means the scent isn't as strong as an EDP (eau de parfum), which is what the cheaper fragrance is!
So...? have just released quite new fragrances & body mists recently and they are all under £10! I remember using their fragrances when I was a lot younger and now that they've got new products, I'm definitely interested in checking them out.
So happy with this spontaneous and unexpected find. I am definitely going to be looking into finding more dupes for fragrances and other products!
