Cold weather has never been my friend. I love winter but every time the colder months roll around, I immediately have chapped lips, dry skin and even drier hair. It is not a pretty sight!
Here are some of the things I have been using beauty-wise to combat the effects of winter.
Skincare
You can never go wrong with using oils for dry skin. I especially love The Body Shop Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil for my body as it smells exactly like a spa and is very soothing on the skin. However, for daily use I prefer Johnson's Baby Oil because it is so foolproof and inexpensive!
For the face, I have been loving the Sanctuary Spa Feather Light Moisture Spray in the mornings and evenings. I usually spray it into my hand and massage it onto my face and it soaks in really nicely rather than sitting on top of the skin.
I love hand creams and I always keep some in my bag and on my desk so I can regularly moisturise my hands. The Sanctuary Spa Velvety Hand Cream does the job so my skin is always hydrated.
Lipcare
Dry lips are the bane of my life. I think I react really easily to certain lipsticks but I have yet to really test them out to see if I am allergic. Whenever I do have quite flaky lips I use a scrub to exfoliate them. I usually use a bit of Vaseline and sugar but I was given the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub and I have been enjoying using something different. It tastes delicious too!
To add some moisture into them, I have been using The Body Shop Hemp Lip Protector. It isn't too think and comes in a handy twist up tube so it is hygienic compared to those pots you stick your fingers into!
Haircare
Oils are also great for dry hair and although I can use The Body Shop oil I mentioned earlier on my hair too, I prefer Moroccan Oil. It is heavy duty, smells great and makes a noticeable difference. It isn't too greasy either and works really well in my hair.
