The hair God’s have kindly blessed me with curly, frizzy, unruly
(you get the drift) hair and now that my hair is longer, I have been on a
mission to tame my crazy locks! In terms of shampoo and conditioner, I’m pretty
set on my holy-grail Shea Moisture, although I have been dabbling into other
products now and then to see if there is anything that can beat it... so far,
nothing!
Anyway, I’ve noticed I have gathered a lot of hair products
that are targeted towards frizzy hair and wanted to share for my fellow frizzy
haired gals.
Coco & Eve | Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque |
£34.90
This hair mask has been around the beauty blogosphere and
for a very good reason (and a great marketing campaign). I caved when I saw an
ad for this pop up on my Instagram feed but I’m glad I did because it is great!
The mask contains ingredients like raw virgin coconut, argan oil and shea
butter, all of which provide my hair with the nourishment it needs.
When my hair has dried it is often left smooth and
frizz-free so it has even more benefits! I apply this to dry or damp hair and
leave it in for as long as possible before washing out, but 10 minutes is all
it needs for the product to work. It is also vegan, cruelty-free and sulphate,
gluten and paraben free, which is a bonus!
IGK | Cry Baby Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum | £22
This is a lightweight hair serum-in-oil which sets out to
smoothen the hair and make dull hair shiny & healthy again. Its key ingredient
is coconut oil, which means it naturally works on the hair to restore it back
to good health again.
I love applying this when my hair is styled curly or
straight as it defines the hair and makes it look like you’ve just got out of
the salon! This product is also vegan, cruelty free and paraben, sulphate and
mineral oil free so the hair isn’t weight down by any nasty ingredients.
IGK | Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner | £24
This is one of my favourite products by the brand! I know I’ve
featured them a lot but it is because I won a competition earlier in the year and
I’m still making my way through them! This product is a spray leave-in conditioner, which
is genius as it is a quick lightweight solution.
Offering 24-hour frizz protection, it also has ingredients
that combat pollution damage in your hair – something which you don’t often
think about. Hyaluronic acid provides hydration and is a key ingredient in this
product. It also protects against UV rays, is cruelty free, vegan friendly and
free from sulphates and gluten ingredients.
IGK | Good Behaviour Spirulina Protein Smoothing Spray | £27
This is a dry texturizing spray with extra benefits! The
natural spirulina protein reduces frizz and improves hair health naturally. The
product is designed to provide a similar effect to that of a keratin treatment,
which means you can achieve a smooth, frizz-free look at home!
The products claims to offer 24-hour frizz protection, 450
degree heat protection (a bonus) and can be applied to damp or dry hair prior
to styling.
L’oreal Botanicals | Camelina Smooth Ritual Frizz Antidote |
£7.99
I wasn’t sure about the concept of this product because the
brand doesn’t scream ‘natural’ to me but I think it is them trying to head into
the right direction. The range is silicone, paraben and colourant free, which
makes it stand out compared to other L’oreal products.
It is infused with coconut oils, camelina and soya which
helps restore hair back to health and leaving it frizz-free. You can apply it to
damp or dry hair and brush through as normal. No washing out needed.
IGK | Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm | £25
This balm is amazing for restoring moisture back into dull
& lifeless hair. Its ingredients include shea butter and argan oil which deeply
hydrates the hair leaving it nourished and smooth looking. It’s easy and quick
to apply to towel dried hair and leave in, letting it work on the hair.
