My Quick & Fuss-Free Makeup Routine | Dry and Eczema Prone Skin

As you know, most days I don't bother with make up. I feel like it is not a necessity for me anymore but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a day where I do decide to glam up a bit! My no make up days started to become a regular thing when my eczema flared up really badly on my face but I've found tips and certain products that help my skin look healthy and glowy again despite it feeling the opposite.

So here are the products I use if I am going for that look and it normally takes me all of 5 minutes in the morning - bonus!

First things first is skincare. Applying a super hydrating base is super important as make up can dry your skin out.

Next up for me is concealer. I ditch the foundation on most occasions as it feels far too cakey for me on a daily basis. My current choice of concealer is the Revlon Colourstay Concealer in light medium and I just apply a little bit under my eyes, on my nose, around my mouth and a little dot on my forehead. Using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, I quickly buff that into my skin.

I then add a quick dusting of powder, just to mattify my skin a little as it can look a bit too dewy and borderline greasy at times! I use different powders on different days but on this occasion I picked up the NYX HD Powder in Translucent.

After that I move onto adding some colour into my skin. Having eczema means that my skin often looks dull and lifeless so I think adding a touch of bronzer and blusher just makes the skin look fresh and alive again. My go-to bronzers and blushers are always from the Makeup Revolution palettes. These are so handy to have around!

I then take a fluffy eyeshadow brush (my brushes are from Spectrum) and pop a wash of bronzer on the lids. It's the quickest and easiest way of adding some definition to your look without doing anything fancy.

Mascara has always been once of my favourite parts of makeup so I go ahead and add lashings of mascara to my lashes. The L'oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara is a-ma-zing at lengthening and holding a curl.

To finish off the look, I pop a neutral lip colour on. One of my all time favourites is the GOSH lipstick in Cinnamon. The brand is super underrated and this shade is a beautiful creamy, pinky nude shade that always looks good.

And that's my quick, easy and eczema-friendly routine that makes me look glowy and fresh! What are the highlights of your make up routine?
