Recipe: Mini Indian-Spiced Lamb Kebabs



These mouth-watering, delicious, juicy lamb kebabs make the perfect family dinner that is guaranteed to satisfy everyones tastebuds! I like serving these with a yoghurt and mint dip, french fries, warm pittas and a fresh salad. The leftovers (if you manage to savour any) also make the perfect lunch the next day. The kebabs can also be frozen so you can make them quickly on a rainy day as a super speedy dinner!


Without further ado, here is the recipe so you can make these mini Indian-spiced lamb kebabs.



INGREDIENTS:
500g lamb mince
1 large onion, chopped finely
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp natural yoghurt
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 slices of bread, in crumbs
Fresh coriander, chopped



Simply mix all the ingredients together and refrigerate for a few hours.

After a few hours or when you are ready to cook them, take the mixture out of the fridge and you are ready to roll the kebabs. Shape the meat into small kebabs and repeat until you have no mixture left.

If you are freezing the kebabs, this is when you would do so. I like to use a tray lined with greaseproof paper so it's easy to place the kebabs on to the tray and freeze. After a couple of hours you can take them out and store them in a zip lock freezer bag.


If you are cooking them, add a few tablespoons of oil in a pan and place on a medium heat. Once the oil has heated up, you can place the kebabs in the pan and let them cook. Using a tong, make sure to keep turning the kebabs so they cook evenly of each side.

You are then ready to serve with chips, pittas, salad and a fresh yoghurt & mint dip!
