5 Beauty Products I'll Always Repurchase

Here it is... my holy grail of beauty products! I noticed when I recently placed a Boots order that there are certain products that I've repurchased many times over the past few years and probably will continue to purchase in the future. It covers skincare, haircare and body care - so maybe there's something here that you'll discover that'll become part of your HG list too.

Weleda Skin Food

Surprise, surprise... this product is all I talk about. Whether it's on Instagram, on the blog or if someone asks me for a recommendation, I'm always telling them to go out and buy the Weleda Skin Food first. If you have dry, dehydrated or eczema prone skin, you NEED this in your life.

The product is a thick cream that can be used to treat areas around the body and face. I like to use it as a heavy duty face and neck cream when my skin is really struggling. It does have a greasy texture (there is a 'light' version of the product available also) but I prefer that for my particular skin concerns as it keeps my skin feeling hydrated for longer. Plus, we're all WFH at the moment so no one can see my face anyway!

The product contains extracts of calendula and chamomile, in a rich, thick base of oils and beeswax, which makes it smell great and feel even better. I swear by this product for eczema breakouts and general day-to-day nourishment if my skin is in need of a big glug of hydration - which makes the name of the cream perfect!

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

Another product that I reach for on an almost-daily basis is The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. It's essentially a serum that I like to apply after toner but before moisturiser. Hyaluronic acid is a key ingredient for those who also suffer with dry skin as it provides hydration, leaving the skin feeling smooth and plump after use.

I also appreciate the inexpensive price point of The Ordinary products so I feel like this serum doesn't break the bank and agrees with my skin 100%. I started using this a few years ago and it instantly sorted my dry skin out, leaving it feeling nourished and ready for the next step in my routine.

100% Plant Derived Squalane

Another The Ordinary pick - The 100% Plant Derived Squalane. I feel like this is a product that I haven't heard much about but when I visited the pop-up store in Covent Garden many years ago, the staff who worked there couldn't recommend this enough for my skin type and concerns. I'd describe the product as a non-greasy oil, which I love using on my face and neck but can also be applied to the hair to add shine and nourishment. Squalane is naturally found in the skin, so by applying it on the surface is going to help boost levels of hydration and suppleness in the skin.

L'Oreal Hair Oil by Elvive Extraordinary Oil

I'm not sure why it took me as long as it did to purchase this product but I'm so glad I have it in my life now because I won't look back. The L'Oreal Hair Oil by Elvive Extraordinary Oil is AMAZING for dry hair. My hair type is curly, dehydrated, dry, lacklustre... just in need of some major TLC.

I like to apply this to the lengths of my hair after a shower but also enjoy using it as a top up in between washes to rehydrate my hair. It also adds a great shine to my hair after styling and doesn't leave the hair feeling greasy or looking oily at all. Plus the smell of the product is gorgeous!

Sanex Shower Gel
A boring yet necessary product in my holy grail edit... The Sanex Shower Gels. Ever since I experienced a major eczema rash on my body a few years back, I have only used Sanex in the shower and it has never irritated my skin. It's also widely available at shops and supermarkets and is super inexpensive! If you have dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin, I'd highly recommend giving these shower gels a go as they are gentle and targeted towards this skin type.
